The 4+ hour Medellin City Tour was interesting. Our group of 5 was picked up promptly at our hotel in a van that held the 6 of us comfortably and off we went to visit various sites around the city. Our tour guide was a delightful, articulate, joyful, warm, knowledgeable woman who grew up in Medellin. Her English was excellent. We were introduced to Bunuelos, a small round pastry that reminded me of the taste of a beignet, took us on a ride of the Metro city train and the Metro gondola-type cable cars to overlook the city, then back on the Metro city train to the botanical gardens. Besides a variety of plants and flowers, the gardens had egrets, pond turtles, ducks, and parrot/macaw-type birds. It was a very interesting afternoon.
